The impact of artificial intelligence on the job market has been clearly warned by Fiverr CEO Micha Kaufman in a candid message to his team. He says that AI will eventually replace many current roles — including his own. Neatprompts CEO Aadit Sheth shared an email online that revealed that human jobs are at risk and that individuals should begin to upskill themselves.

Kaufman didn't mince words in the internal email, stating, "AI is coming for your jobs. Heck, it's coming for my job too." He asserted that this wasn’t just about roles within Fiverr but a larger trend across industries. From programmers and designers to lawyers and finance professionals, he listed eight roles that he believes are most at risk of being phased out or dramatically changed due to the rise of generative AI tools.

"It doesn't matter if you are a programmer, designer, product manager, data scientist, lawyer, customer support, salesperson or a finance person - AI is coming for you," he said.

According to Kaufman, AI is transforming what were once considered “easy tasks” into automated processes, while harder tasks are being simplified by AI-driven efficiency. He noted that unless professionals rapidly adapt, reskill, and adopt AI into their workflows, they may find themselves obsolete within months.

Rather than striking a note of panic, the Fiverr CEO encouraged his team to see this moment as a wake-up call. He advised employees to immerse themselves in learning AI tools relevant to their fields, citing examples like Cursor for coding, Intercom Fin for customer support, and Lexis+ AI for legal work.

Kaufman also urged employees to identify in-house experts on AI, rethink their productivity benchmarks, and become fluent in using large language models (LLMs) for daily tasks. He even went as far as to declare that “Google is dead,” suggesting that those not skilled in prompt engineering will be left behind.

The message concluded with a call to action that before expanding headcount, companies should focus on maximising output with current teams through AI adoption. Kaufman believes embracing these tools is no longer optional — it’s necessary for survival in the modern workplace.

The message is coming at a time when tech companies worldwide are struggling to integrate AI without causing mass layoffs. Kaufman's note may be alarming for some, but it reveals a broader truth that the AI revolution is changing industries faster than anyone anticipated.

The email has gone viral on social media, sparking debate among professionals about how realistic  or extreme his predictions are. But one thing is clear: the conversation about AI and the future of work is no longer theoretical. It’s happening now.
